We are going to take a short outage to add more storage. We had planned this change for sometime in the next 2-3 weeks. However, the filesystem is reaching near capacity and we need to do this now. In order to avoid a serious condition, we may stop accepting file uploads in the near future until we can get the additional storage added. We will provide more information about the timing of these events as we have that information.

We have expanded the BOINC 'working directory' without having to take the system offline. However, we are shortly going to be adding storage for the database systems. This will require us to stop them for a short period of time so that we can use the new storage.
Thank you for your patience. |

The filesystem work has been completed. We have stopped the database during this work so that we can move some files around to improve performance. As a result of the database being stopped, the end of day stats update will be delayed for a short while.

The database is back online. Through a combination of moving the binary log to a separate storage array on the back-end and changing the MySQL setting for sync-binlog to a less conservative setting we have seen a significant increase in the performance of the database. The system is catching up quickly and within a few hours we will be back to normal operations. We thank you for your patience.
