Exit code 239

I tried to compute some leishmanias wus after longer time but i got 239 error on the two pcs i tried. dont find anything about it to solve :/

Any helpsuggests? ;)

Hi,

If you post the Result Log and the messages in BOINC round around the time the tasks failed, we mau be able to look into it further. For the moment I can only find 1 prior report from the time DSFL was beta tested (This science uses the same VINA engine as application). https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/printpost_post,333482

Does the description resemble what happen for your tasks?

The error is coming from a file open that is failing on the first output file. Do you have Antivirus software installed and if so do you exclude the BOINC data directory?

omg found out the firewall was blocking the WCG applicationfile for leishmaniasis. I started yesterday to compute that project unattended on this two machines, so i didnt saw the question (because after long pause it copied a new version of the projectfile so hash changed) from the firewall to allow/disallow this file after/between ~20 and ~30 minutes runtime, the application wants to talk to internet so the application failed after some minutes after this blocked action. ^^

No, BOINC uses the internet to send results and fetch work. Tasks don't ever need the internet. BOINC needs port 31416 over IP 127.0.0.1 to be open so the components can talk to each other *device internally*. Firewalls of certain brands are notorious to either constant flicker in the systray as were there internet traffic, or block apps, hence the suggestion to exclude anything in the [sandboxed] BOINC data directory and it's subs from scanning by security software.

Cos its a (older) firewall only (not a "fullsecurityapp" like norton internet security) i cant exclude a full path (but i done that for problemprevention in the AV Software). So i add a rule for 31416 and 127.0.0.1 perhaps this helps further. For the moment i allowed the change of "wcg alv 6"-file or whatever it was exactly named :)
