A long time ago when I signed up for the project I put the resource sharing to 30% and now that I have less projects I'm committed to, I would like to put that to 100% again, but after looking everywhere I couldn't find where to change that setting.
Thanks for your help. |

One way is to go to your Device Manager, under that choose Device Profiles and I don't think it matters which one youo choose but say Default- scroll down almost to the bottom and under "Cross Project Settings" make your change:)
----------------------------------------That is, change "Project Weight" ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by pramo at Mar 29, 2012 9:19:05 PM] |

Hello Tursiops,
I will add a bit to Pramo's suggestion. Select My Grid - Device Manager - (Selected Profile) for your computer. The Project Weight is not a percentage. BOINC uses 100 as a default per project, but it computes a total sum of all project weights for all projects you are signed up for. WCG is just 1 BOINC project. Then it computes a percentage for a project by dividing the project weight by the total BOINC weight. If you are only signed up for WCG and your project weight is 30, then BOINC calculates 30 / 30 and awards WCG 100%. If you intend to join other projects (which will have a default weight of 100) reset WCG to 100 for ease of future adjustment on your part, then SAVE. Questions? Lawrence |
