Linux installation can be done in Command line.

Hi Team

Can you please help me the Linux installation can be done in Command line.
I am also interested how to run for World Grid in command line and background.

Thanks Tedi, I'll keep that new ''split off'' admin trick in mind for next time :D

naturelabs,

Plz tell us the Linux distro and version... e.g. Ubuntu 10.04. Quite a few that have support for apt-get / rpm will fetch a ready set of the latest port and install everything for you and take care of autostarting BOINC after a boot. If deb (debian) packages are supported, got link on hand [somewhere on the forums].

edit: Here's the official wiki instruction: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Installing_on_Linux . There are more expanded versions, Linux distro specific.
