A CPU beta. If it is a GPU beta you will see a line in your <stderr_txt> where it assigns the wu to you card.

----------------------------------------I have a three day cache. Do the GPU BETA WU also appear in the task list in the bottom ot the list or are they immediately processed as the GPU is free and available. |

I'm not sure I am understanding your question but GPU is independent of CPU. If you were to get one now it would immediately start no matter what is queued on the CPU side. When it completes it will ask for another one. I hope I got your question right.
