I have been seeing a lot more on my work and home computers since the server upgrade. I am using either BOINC versions 6.10.58 and 6.12.34 on all of the Linux based machines. I have included a link to the event log on the computer I am currently using.

I have certainly noticed the server can't open the database issue and we have been working on resolving this. The upgrade puts considerably higher load on the database than the previous version. We are working through the issues related to this now. You should have seen a considerable improvement over the past 12 hours (although it is not yet eliminated)
----------------------------------------I was not aware of the 'transient upload error' issue previously. Other other people experiencing this as well? Also how many have occurred within the past 12 hours? Thanks. [Edit 1 times, last edit by knreed at Mar 8, 2012 9:58:54 PM] |

This week I started getting this error: All other uploads have been while before and after that result. That one is sitting in queue. Upload error prevents from downloading any new jobs so could somebody to tell me how to fix that without losing results? |

That result is already lost as it is too old. Just abort it in the tasks and delete or cancel the uploading files. That should get things back on track for you.

mr.larry ,
----------------------------------------According the manual [who trusts that ;>], downloading of work is blocked when the number of tasks to upload is twice the number of cores in a system. Meaning, if a quad, there have to be 8 tasks to upload / report for that download blocking of new tasks to happen [it's then considered pointless to send new work as reporting is not succeeding]. Question thusly, what exact client version are you running? Assuming with new downloads being blocked and there not being new work to process, if you have trouble aborting the blocking tasks, do a project reset in BOINC Manager projects tab of the advanced view. Certain;y will set allot of the record straight. --//-- [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Mar 18, 2012 5:48:00 PM] |
