boinc cache problem

since 3days i have this problem, boinc doesn't stop downloading work units
i have it set to cache 0.5 days, and it worked without problems for until just now, i didn't change anything.
i was using boinc v7 when the problem started, now im back to 6.12 but it still doesn't work

i don't want to get workunits manually every 5 days or so sad

any ideas?

Re: boinc cache problem

Hi,

Using the v7 Alpha test client. Yes, that has buffering issues, and only yesterday I reported another issue which will be fixed in the next alpha test client.

Unless you're a tester, or told by a specific project such as T4T or any of the GPU apps offering projects, we recommend to stay on 6.12, and if only crunching at WCG to go back to 6.10.58, as that has WCG endorsed and audited code.

I also recommend stay on 6.10.58 version, because 6.12.xx on my computers has problems with BAM! and some another things. Version 7 is only for testing or for projects that require it explicitly (GPU computing for POEM or Albert@Home).
