Help! My machine is not processing any work units, although it has been doing so successfully for the past 6 months. No additional work units are being downloaded, and no completed work units are being uploaded. There are no work units queued on my machine for processing. The network activity status is set to "Network activity always available," and there are no enlightening entries under "Messages."
What else could there be? Is the main BOINC system operating properly? |

There's lots of coded messages in the event log. A second pair of eyes can see things differently.:D
Hit Project Reset button after selecting WCG in BOINC Manager's if Project Update does not work. If nothing happens, post copy of message log and the content of the project properties screen... all in the Project Tab of BOINC Manager advanced view. There's also the client_state.xml where there's this section: <time_stats> Sometimes for reason unknown some of these control variables are corrupted. Plz copy paste them in a reply, again if nothing happens after hitting the buttons as decribed above. BTB, of course, the same activity menu where network is set has "Run always" selected too. plz confirm. --//-- |

Clicking on the "Update" button under the "Projects" tab broke the logjam, and normal processing resumed immediately. I have no idea why my setup became constipated, but you have taught me a useful new trick, and I am grateful.
