When I restored my full computer backup from July 2011 yesterday, I noticed that in my Stats page my Device Name is listed twice...the 2nd one is fresh with 1 Result. Why? If the computer was simply restored from a backup (no hardware changes), why is BOINC assigning it a duplicate (or even a new) id?

At the end of the day it doesn't really matter...but it's a stupid process in my point of view...especially if I wanted to keep track of a particular box that might get restored a few times a year (for example if it was a test/development-use type machine)/
