A quick pat on the back for OU Team members, we have 54 'active' crunchers, out of which 14 have monthly figures.

I have written to the Head of the OU computing faculty to try and get more machines on the grid, but so far, we're still waiting. I see it's been over a year since the last update. Team OU managed to get a link on the OU's computer security bulletins (see http://tinyurl.com/mnpcsbf) and that gave us a 10% or so increase in members. We still need to make our students aware of the benefits of science research, and recruit more than a tiny fraction of University's 500,000 + students, and so the fight goes on.
----------------------------------------The team have contributed slightly more than 70 years of computing time since April last year which is great news. The recent hot weather in the UK made sitting in a room full of Intel fan heaters quite a challenge though but winter is coming. :-) If you're a UK OU student past or pleasant (!) please do get in touch.
