Welcome to another installment of the Crunching Chart series designed to graphically present the daily and 3 months rolling information of contributions made by volunteers at World Community Grid. This is the 19th project or phase undertaken here through distributed computing, gone live on November 14, 2011 and officially announced on World Community Grid's 7th birthday of November 16th.
----------------------------------------For an overview of the research visit the project information pages. This is a research also conducted by Dr. Alex Perryman Ph.D of FightAIDS@Home. His posts in this forum you will find by selecting this link. The chart moniker is WCGFAM Also visit the project statistics page for twice daily update of computed results. Hey, what's going on [with Fighting Malaria]? Well, two milestones today;
- Passed the first 1000 CPU years contributed - Did 1.5 million successful results (running at a mean of 5.84 hours per task for the project). Pretty cool, research ranked in spot 2 at WCG for the last 7 days, and crunching on with 100% score after 200 of these parasite swatter designers getting worked on by me computationers. --//-- |

Nice graphic Sekerob - as difficult to understand at a glance as usual - it would be disappointing if it wasn't!! Really needs the adjoining description for full comprehension!! Keep up the good work and thanks....

Yes, with squeezing 6-7 curves into one chart, it takes a little reading before it's understood. Me, so accustomed to seeing these daily that it's easy to see what hums and what not.
----------------------------------------Last night GFAM passed 2.5 million results validated... without much tribulations since launch. Today could also turn into a new Super Tuesday after yesterday's Super Monday. All-time all mornings record validations of 208.6 years. Looks like the grid is showing it's grit and stands-up to the crunchers attack... chapeau to the techs for all their work put in to keep things rolling in 5th gear (you know the poke on the floor most Europeans still have and making driving fun, and forcing hands-free cell use in busy traffic) --//-- [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Dec 13, 2011 2:38:46 PM] |

Hello SekeRob,
Thank you very much for creating and posting that beautiful and very detailed graph! And thank you for the great news! Generating millions of results in such a short time is a great testament to the power of World Community Grid. A special thanks to the techs at IBM for helping this project launch so quickly and for making it run so well!! Have a very happy New Year! Best wishes, Dr. Alex L. Perryman |

Hi Sekerob
----------------------------------------How does the percent complete go from 18.96 to 12.51 on the Dashboard chart? Is this a result of better information as the project gets going, or was more work added? Thanks for the great charts! |

Yup... based on committed work and progress got a better EOP indicator [the calendar time left], the driver of the percentage. As always, subject to change without notice.

Last night a first substantial Milestone of 5,000 CPU years volunteered got accumulated. This came from 6.6 million results, some harder to crunch than others.

Yesterday morning we passed the 7,500 Runtime Years milestone and to go with that a refreshed chart, in the OP.

At lunchtime we passed the 15,000 Runtime years intermediate milestone. Sometime tomorrow we'll be passing 20 million validated results.
