I have been unable to change the profile assigned to (2) devices and have also been having a problem changing the projects and cache for a profile. The problem looks very much like one from Feb 2010 in which nelsoc reported It appears the message queues that deliver th...boinc are getting held up
----------------------------------------I can select the device in Device Manager, select the profile I want assigned (school) and save. Device Manager then shows it to be assigned but when I do a manual Update from the device the profile has not changed. I have tried assigning other profiles (work, home and default) and sometimes it will take, other times it does not. In all cases the grid Device Manager shows the correct profile but it is not being sent to the device. Also, in a couple of instances I have changed the cache and projects assigned in a profile, saved the profile and then verified the changed has been saved. When I update the device the new profile settings are not being sent to the device. Edit: after opening this I went back and tried again and the problem is that I cannot assign the "school" profile to any device. I can assign the others, default, work & home) but not school. Device Manager shows it assigned but it's not being sent to the device.

Same problem here with assigning the 'work' or 'school' profile (from home profile).
----------------------------------------Also changing the projects in the 'home' profile doesn't work. ![]() [Edit 2 times, last edit by Mathilde2006 at Nov 18, 2011 8:24:43 AM] |

If the new time-stamp is not printed in the client message log after an client update operation, the messaging queue might indeed be bogged down on the servers.

I've tested this a few hours ago by de-selecting DSFL and finally got a few GFAM isince. Also changed preference field, and the client message log showed that it went through:
