Looks like the same issue as last week, nothing being validated since 1:38 UTC.

All the WUs (HFCC & DSFL) that I submitted this morning are in "waiting for the validator" state.

Auto-Restart or sleepwalking, eyes wide shut. All mornings work returned by me hosts has validated (CEP2, GFAM, DSFL). S.N.A.FU(nctioning).

has it really been resolved? I have 89 pages of WU in PV now, normally it is only around 60 pages. I manual checked a few of them, and my wingmen also finish their WUs.

As of midday the shortfall in *expected* CPU years was about 10-15. The detail suggests that the bulk is with the HCC validations not having caught up yet. If validation outage is e.g. 9 hours, than that catch up has to be squeezed into the hours following. We've seen this catch-up to sometimes take 12 hours and more to even cause spill into the next day. Open a few with complete quorum and hit the *Try Validation*. If the validator is on, they get likely put priority treatment.
----------------------------------------At any rate, presently my total hours in PV is the lowest in weeks, to give the other side of how things can swing. --//-- [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Nov 18, 2011 5:52:20 PM] |

There are a couple of factors that would increase the number of PV recently:
----------------------------------------1) We launched a new project that has wingman. This naturally slows down the rate of validation due to having to wait for your partner. 2) We brought hcmd2 back online and it also has a wingman. We have also increased the runtime on some of our projects. We are slowly making progress on updating our server code to the latest from BOINC. The new code has additional database transactions so we are reducing the database load ahead of the release to ensure that we do not have any unfortunate surprises. We should be updating the server code within 10-12 weeks (depending on the scheduling of a few other activities). [Edit 1 times, last edit by knreed at Nov 18, 2011 7:39:05 PM] |
