I have a single task from the FightAIDS@Home project which seems to be stuck uploading. It has shown 100% status uploading for the past several days. Any way to kick it in the butt and get the upload to be completed? Note that this is the only task like this on several computers so I think it is a communications hiccup on this specific task.
The Results Status page shows it as In Progress. The work unit deadline is later today so it might be a moot point, but I'm curious anyway. |

Have you gone to the Transfers tab in Boinc Manager and clicked Retry?

The Transfer tab shows it as 0% with a retry time in the Status column. Clicking retry briefly shows Upload Pending, then Retry. The Event Log shows "Backing Off" on upload.

Check the Event log when you do an Update and/or Retry ... You may have communication problems.

Thanks for the thought, but I don't believe that's the case. I'm processing and returning task from both FightAids and Human Proteome Folding with no problems at all. It is only this specific work unit that is problematic. And, as I indicated in my first reply, the Event Log shows nothing except for the "Backing off" message.

Have you rebooted your PC, your router, and boinc?

I rebooted the Mac a couple days ago, which also would have restarted BOINC, but I restarted BOINC this morning as well. The router gets rebooted every night. I wouldn't expect the router to be part of the picture as it is only a single task that is hung and all other tasks download, process, and upload without problems.

It's probably just a defective workunit. If other workunits from the same project are able to be transmitted and verified as valid don't worry about it. After the project passes the deadline try to abort the transfer.
Does the workunit show up in the results page? Perhaps it was transmitted and the status in the transfer is just an error? |

Well I just had one on CEP2. I've had this happen before, and with mine, it will REFUSE to even begin uploading. It's the big file, and will just sit a 0%, I've reset the PC, router, EVERYTHING.
----------------------------------------Hate it when this happens, especially since everything thing else uploaded fine, just this one file. EDIT: In Boinc log it states transient HTTP error EDIT x2, and now this.... 5/2/2012 4:30:04 PM | World Community Grid | Reporting 1 completed tasks, requesting new tasks for CPU and NVIDIA 5/2/2012 4:30:36 PM | World Community Grid | Scheduler request failed: Transferred a partial file 5/2/2012 4:30:50 PM | | Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site 5/2/2012 4:30:52 PM | | Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down. 5/2/2012 4:32:49 PM | World Community Grid | update requested by user 5/2/2012 4:32:51 PM | World Community Grid | Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. 5/2/2012 4:32:51 PM | World Community Grid | Reporting 1 completed tasks, requesting new tasks for CPU and NVIDIA 5/2/2012 4:32:52 PM | World Community Grid | Scheduler request failed: Server returned nothing (no headers, no data) 5/2/2012 4:33:06 PM | | Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site 5/2/2012 4:33:07 PM | | Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down. This seems to be a CEP2 specific problem, it has already been reported in teh CEP2 subforum a few times...Hate it when this happens, especially since everything thing else uploaded fine, just this one file.
