"Waiting To Run" Workunits

I currently have 3 workunits that started running and then stopped with the status now saying "Waiting to Run". I experience this phenomenon periodically on this project. The work units never restart and I cannot manually restart them. Eventually, I abort them because the report deadline has been passed. I tried to search for this status message, but didn't readily find anything. Any ideas?

Re: "Waiting To Run" Workunits

Hello TitusFCR.
"Waiting To Run" is a BOINC message, not a science project message. Normally you get it when you have a large cache and BOINC gets worried about proper scheduling. Then it starts and stops work units, trying to find a scheduling order that will work.

Better give us lots of information, starting with posting the first part of the Messages tab which tells about your system and version of BOINC. Tell us about your project mix, your cache size, etc.

This sounds like a bug in the BOINC scheduler for your version of BOINC.
