When I went to IE9, all the little "tooltip" things that used to show up when you hovered over one of the "Standard Smiles" or "Hidden Smiles" quit showing up. I thought I heard somewhere that older versions of IE used the "alt" tag as a tooltip erroneously... is that it? Just curious.

Based on the overwhelming response, I suppose that I can assume that it is one of the great mysteries of life.

Based on the overwhelming response, I suppose that I can assume that it is one of the great mysteries of life. Aarrww, you know I would like nothing more than answer Everyone have a great day. ![]() However, I have IE8, and tooltips come and go - peek-a-boo: Now they're here - now they're not- and I would really like them to tell me what those smileys mean - because they are not clear to me at all - and I risk sending unintende signals |
