Mark, plz start by posting a copy of the message log from before these results were 'detached'. Old messages are in the stdoutdae.txt file. Without that we can't help you understand why that happened.
Generally these detaches has nothing to do with a specific science [DSFL] i.e. I'll ask the admin to move to the BOINC Support forum. --//-- |

My computer rebooted - so i can't send you the info! - thank's for your help! You might still be able to. Under Linux there's a file called stdoutdae.txt in the BOINC data directory and I assume it's the same with Windows. That file contains the log output from the BOINC client and you can most probably find the relevant entries there... ![]() |

My computer rebooted - so i can't send you the info! - thank's for your help! See my previous post quoted below with bold highlight.Mark, plz start by posting a copy of the message log from before these results were 'detached'. Old messages are in the stdoutdae.txt file. Without that we can't help you understand why that happened. With that additional information of the self-reboot aka system crash [why not included?], it's likely the control files got corrupted. Is the computer now crunching again without you having to add WCG back as project?Generally these detaches has nothing to do with a specific science [DSFL] i.e. I'll ask the admin to move to the BOINC Support forum. Let us know what the stdoutdae.txt file says. The location is printed at start of client log for example on Linux: Sun 18 Jan 2011 12:44:06 AM CEST | | Data directory: /var/lib/boinc-client --//-- [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Sep 18, 2011 6:12:34 PM] |
