Hi eso,

These days religiously stop the BOINC service and wait a dozen counts before booting / powering down.

6.10.36? Don't change what's not broken, but 6.10.58 has proven it's case for WCG. Been a bunch of nasty stuff to the Linux box and all that seem not overly robust is the CEP2 tasks. Must have lost 100+ hours in the past few weeks, but DSFL just trots on, but with that client suspend, particularly when running the rather intense system updates.

OK will do that thanks. I switched 6.10.36 b/c I just installed GPUGrid and that was the exact version listed on their install instructions. Wasn't sure if a higher version would FUBAR anything on that project.

hi
i rebuild one of my computer and everything seem fine, full memtest and other tests are fine .

I basically swapped in another cpu , now running

Pentium E6600, wolfdale at standard 3.06Ghz
with 2 gig of mem.
running XP home edition 5.01.2600 SP3

i kept the same machine profile name etc


i got some units processed fine but many errors,

i often get a windoze crash popup saying Leishmaniasis was in error ...

all my other machines work fine
(xp, vista,w7)


anyone has a clue ?

Is there anything I can do to prevent exit code 195 (0xc3) errors?

On my Vista 64 computer, when I get that error the work unit continues to "run". If I don't check and click ok on the error message it just keeps racking up CPU time. When I check it on this site the time has dropped from 12 hours (or whatever it was) down to 3 or 4 hours.

I tried again to load new WUs, 12 I get, all errors (system: Phenom II X6 1090T, Linux Ubuntu 64bit - newest version, 4Gb RAM).

I got this exitCode195 thing on a setup very similar to the one mentioned by xintruderx. The DSFL_v6.19 WU is DSFL_00000036_0000045_0503_0. May we have some word from the WCG techs regarding this?

DSFL is a our second compound application, with CEP2 being the first. This means that there is a wrapper process which launches seperate processes for the science application, for DSFL this is AutoDock VINA. Error 195 occurs when VINA exits abnormally for any reason. We have been unable to recreate these errors on our test servers. I am currently modifying the application to log more information on failure so we can get a better idea of why VINA is exiting. Until this new version goes into testing one thing that can be checked is make sure that antivirus or firewall software is not blocking the vina application from running.

I got the error too for four consecutive workunits after they had run for about three seconds. I'm running Windows VII 64-bit. Here's one of the logs:

Unable to open PDBQT File.
If you used to be able to open this file, your first attempted fix ought to be a reboot.

Same issue here: All errors on batch 40. Three computers with XP, Vista and Vista64 error out almost immediately.
I think its related to the work units.

I also have a dozen wu erring out today. Seems they only ones erring out is the ones I also use my graphics card to crunch on.
They all have this in the error message.
Unable to update graphics data.
Coincidence? confused
