I have a machine getting reached maximum daily quota of 12 work units after bringing it back online to this project. We had a reboot and all the work units it had ended in error. We can't get any work now to see if we have resolved the issue. Is there a way to get a few work units to start building the reliability back up. We have been waiting 20 hours already and haven't received a single work unit. This is one of the top producing devices I have and would like to get this resolved.

Daily quota is explained in Start Here at https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,28636 You should get new work units at the start of a new day GMT. That should be within an hour!  Hope this helps. Lawrence |

Thanks for the info. I guess I was hoping for a quicker way to get the system back online. It was hard to have a system sit there and wait that long. I think it was 24 hours that it was without a WCG work unit. It would have been nice to get at least one work unit so it could start working on reliability.

I'm still receiving alot of errors, and it appears that the workunits all error out when I boot windows. With this machine (windows 7) I never had any problems running WCG's projects.

These days religiously stop the BOINC service and wait a dozen counts before booting / powering down. 6.10.36? Don't change what's not broken, but 6.10.58 has proven it's case for WCG. Been a bunch of nasty stuff to the Linux box and all that seem not overly robust is the CEP2 tasks. Must have lost 100+ hours in the past few weeks, but DSFL just trots on, but with that client suspend, particularly when running the rather intense system updates. --//-- |
