How can I change the time format in the the 'Last Results Returned column. It give me mm/dd/yyyy. This is confusing and I would much prefer the dd/mm/yyyy format which I use on all other date formats on my computer. Is this a bug. It used to work in the dd/mm/yyyy format until recently. What might have changed????
Any suggestions gratefully received. |

The dates are displayed based on your Region/Language settings. In windows, when I change from English (United States) to English (Canada), the date changes from mm/dd/yyyy to dd/mm/yyyy.
----------------------------------------I'm not sure about what to change in Linux. |

Check your language selection in your browser.
----------------------------------------With Firefox 5.0, if I place English (en) or English (en-us) first I get the US date format in the Results Status page, but if I put English (en-gb) first I get dd/mm/yy as you wish. In Firefox this selection is in Preferences, Contents, Language selection, but depending on your browser things may be slightly different. |

With Firefox 5.0, if I place English (en) or English (en-us) first I get the US date format in the Results Status page, but if I put English (en-gb) first I get dd/mm/yy as you wish. This works indeed, but curiously not in all places. For example I can find the following on the My Grid page: "Statistics Last Updated: 10/08/11 12:05:32 (UTC) [2 hour(s) ago]" -- which is okay, obviously. Also fine are the dates on the Result Status page. But when going to the Device Statistics page, there I can read for one of my machines under Last Result Returned: "08/09/2011 20:31:52" -- which doesn't quite fit. The same error/inconsistency can be found at the bottom of the My Grid page concerning the dates of team memberships and possibly in a few other places as well... ![]() |

Does not work for me in FF5... only get the US Date notation, no matter what locale language is set atop, French, EN-GB, Italian. Think for consistency we're not wanting different date notations to float around on the forums in support threads i.e. for everyone the same, date and time per UTC as also applying for the decimal point in CPU time and credit when it involves the Result Status pages and quorum detail i.e. I'm fine with the present state [from my little window into the world]

I have no issue with any of the many timeFormats (although I have a preference timeFormat) as long as any applied timeFormat is enforced consistently across all areas in a given domain.
The year is displayed as 4digit in: 1] (member) Status 2] Last Result Returned (under Device Statistics) 3] Statistics Date (under Device Statistics History) 4] Date Installed and Registered (under Device Manager) The year is displayed as 2digit in: 1] timeDue/returnTime 2] sentTime 3] lastResultReturned (under the cruncher's MyGrid) 4] statisticsLastUpdated Throw in to the mix the confusion between the 2digit month and the 2digit date-of-the-month, and we sure could use some consistency, else cross-referencing between dates/times becomes difficult. I think there is a way to write code (in JavaScript) so as to display time in a webPage in any desired timeFormat regardless of the OS, browser, languageSettings, locale, or configuration. For now, there is no way for a cruncher to select a desired timeFormat to display as the cruncher views cruncher data/stats in WCG in a browserWindow. ; |
