Gaming performance anxiety

Some members of my PC gaming guild are convinced the client will degrade their in game performance. Is there a list of recommended settings somewhere that would make that impossible?

Hi,

There is no ''optimal'' gamers list. The simplest is to tell the client to pause when there's user input, and set a delay, e.g. 10=15 minutes for resume. Another is to add lines to the cc_config.xml that specifically pauses BOINC long as specified programs are in memory. Since some sciences take quite a bit of memory when paused, best is to not select the ''Leave application in memory when pre-empted/suspended" and not run sciences that have very long progress saving intervals such as Clean Energy. Depends though on how much Video and system RAM. With 6-8-12GB you'd not have to unload the science apps.

In a nutshell
