I've been thinking (plotting) how to best overtake my fellow WCG crunchers, and came to the conclustion I need more PCs. (don't we all?)
It's very likely that each PC will have vastly different hardware specs. You know, because time marches on and available components get faster. This will probably have me wanting to assign a different profile to each machine. This would allow me to make specific project assignments for each device. I see this as especially important for projects such as CEP2 where the number of WU's each device can handle varies. At the very least, the current profiles of "home" "work" "school" and "Default" don't really fit how I utilise device profiles, and I suspect I'm not alone in that. |

Small world of coincidences... skgiven was looking for more profiles too, the function not official, but at WCG possible. An Start Here FAQ http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=17033 at bottom has para and link, which leads to moonian's write up [though the screenshots have gone lost] .
Maybe moonian can repost his step-by-step with the original screenshots linked in from i.e. photobucket... they're not going away :D --//-- |

Thanks for the links. It's the weekend and my brain's only running about half-speed (at best) right now, so all that went over my head.
I'll check them again Monday or so and take another look at them. :) |
