Hello,

On one of my PC's, there are 14 completed tasks waiting to be uploaded.
How is that possible ?
What should I do ?

Re: Tasks keeping idle

sometimes mine get stuck, too - a "retry now" hit might help - or a manual project "update".

if that doesn't help, it might be because of the new server ips:

Re: Tasks keeping idle

As herna said from the Transfers Tab try retry now.
It's also possible that your cache is just a bit too high; most people should stick to within 1day.

If the problem is IP (or DNS) related, restart your system, and if that does not work power down your router for at least 60sec, turn it on again, and restart your computer again.

Should that fail, add the new IP addresses to your firewall exceptions.

Vep, is the client waiting to upload [which has some time counter running] There are lots of rules on the ''Ready to Report'', but these would clear no later than 24 hours after the oldest one was done. If you go to BOINC Manager Project tab, select WCG and hit the properties button on left, a screen opens to show any deferral time. Mine now says it's 10 minutes till the next connection to ask for work.

Re: Tasks keeping idle [RESOLVED]

It belongs to the client's restart routine to perform a few ''hello world'' activities. Any time counter would then be refreshed too.

Generally, when something is stuck, booting is good. First step I do is do a service stop and restart via Task Manager, Services tab to see if things move again when all else knobbing BOINC fails. If not installed as service, exit the client via BOINC Manager and select to stop the science applications. That screen will only appear if the ''Remember this decision'' was in past not selected.

Please edit your opening post title and insert [RESOLVED] Then the world knows it's a case closed.

Till next time, Happy Crunching.
