Minor issue (I Think) __ RESOLVED __ issue eliminated ___ Thanks

This is so minor that in itself it could be ignored, on the other hand, it might be a symptom of something larger.

When I go look at my "BOINC Results", it shows three results that were valid and reported back on Jan 22 of this year. This was on two different machines that were taken out of service that day. (Elrondubuntu, and Gandalfubuntu). Actually these machines were converted over to Windows and are running under the same names (Elrond and Gandalf) without the suffix and are chugging away under the new names.

Again, this is relatively insignificant from my viewpoint, but might be the tip of an iceberg.

Everyone have a great, and safe day .... and keep on crunching. smile

If these are Dengue, look here:

Nothing client-related, these tasks seem to be manually taken out of the active wu backlog.

RT,

You don't specify the sciences, but January remnants of DDDT2 are well discussed and known and explained by the techs @ http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,31329.

Generally I see for any other science very few days that a valid result lingers on the Result Status page, for Clean Water it's appearing to be even less then 24 hours that they stay on after the OK. Mechanisms are in place to push slackers that hold up a batch. They are then re-circulated with a short deadline.

Yes sir. The 3 work units on the two computers were all DDDT2 and all were completed and valid. In that thread you pointed to, knreed said:

"We had to freeze the batch due to higher than normal errors in the batch. We need to clean them out and clear them from your history."
So I guess they will go away eventually. As I said, it is a minor issue as far as I am concerned.

Thanks for the information and have a great evening/morning/day. smile
