Hi,
I am about to install the BOINC Agent on a Small Business 2011 server that I run at home. When running the installer, I get to a point where I get the error Failed to add user to the 'boinc_admins' group (Administrator). The progress bar says "Validating user groups used by BOINC for secure sandboxes" I assume that it is because a SBS server uses different ways of creating accounts and groups. Coud I perhaps create the necessary service accounts and groups manually before running the installer? If so, which users and groups do I need to create? Oh, and I do run the installer with "run as administrator" rights. Thanks! |

Hi,
----------------------------------------Does it co-act as a Domain Controller? If yes, fetch version 5.10.45. Any later version does not succeed and wont until 6.14 (possibly now coined as 7) --//-- Note to self: Maybe create a Start Here FAQ topic for this, if not already done ![]() edit: Will add link to this BOINC FAQ Service faq to our Start Here index: http://boincfaq.mundayweb.com/index.php?view=376 See para " Domain Controller Incompatibility", with links to the 5.10.45 32 and 64 bit versions.
