 Good Morning MOT I missed posting yesterday. My DSL line was down from just after midnight till about 4 P.M. I was like an addict unable to get my fix.  Congratulations Judson and xroule About that video: Throughout my long career in computing (since the 1960s), I have been continually surprised. Surprised, delighted and scared by the pace at which the society (U.S. and World) has used technological innovation to change dramatically. From the remote control that spawned the Television industry (how many channels would we have if you had to get up and walk across the room to change channels). To the cell phone/smart phone/GPS. Of MRIs, the Space Shuttle, Dark Matter, Gigahertz, Cruise Ships, ICBMs, 3D-HD-TV over a satellite, the internet, Google, satellite photos, Google Earth, fiber optics, drone planes flown by people on the ground half a world away...... I often think of my grandfather that was really intrigued by the telephone..his party line telephone number was two longs and a short. He used to drive more than 200 miles to come to the big town we lived in to see a movie (Sergeant York was his favorite). Later in life, they actually brought electricity to HIS farm!! What would he think of all this? In 1899 the director of the US patent office, Charles H. Duell, retired saying "Everything that can be invented has been invented." I regret that I am so mortal that I will not get to see what happens in the next 100 years. Everyone have a great day.
