Hi! I am using WCG for a long time. I have a problem that on my result status on webpage is shown that some projects that I run for example today are not passed validation. For my protection I only use Microsoft security essentials and my firewall is turned off. Some another projects (dystrophy, clean energy project etc.) are passing validation and I dont know where is a problem. Do i get a points if this project didnt pass a validation? For example I get a dystrophy project and when it finish I go on webpage-result status and it pass validation. But yesterday same project didnt pass a validation. Why??? This also happens with other projects. Is it happening bcause I run my grid always and cpu usage is too high and something happens with project? Hi,
I am very angry But for no reason :D. What happens is that a second copy is run by another computer and if the results agree, the points and time are added to your My Grids page after the midday or nightly stats update. Usually it's within a few days, but it can happen to also take 10+ days if the Wingman is not sending the result back and a 3rd copy needs to be send out. Had one today that took 12.5 days to get a wingman to return the result and validation to run. So, all is fine! --/-- |

I am happy if it is like you said. I was thinking that 1 project has only 1 copy and that I run this. But I am sure that you know better than me. I am also reading my messages of my grid on my computer and I dont see any errors that are telling me that project had an error or something else.

You can check ''IF'' I'm right. Visit the Result Status page and click on the work unit name link to see for yourself how many copies for a task were send out.
At the present [most of the times] FAAH, HFCC and C4CW have 1 copy distribution, but sometimes these also need random or scheduled verification. All other WCG sciences always run with 2 copies minimum. --//-- |

If it is like you said that this projects have only 1 copy something is not ok. On result status for this projects I need to pass validation, but I not.

Let me refer you to the Start Here FAQ Index, and specifically section 1S3 giving explanation of the different conditions shown for a result. In Item 6N you'll find a table that shows the distribution and quorum for each science.

Thank you very much. Obviously I need to wait more copies of project to pass validation. I dont see any errors on my computer with projects so this is only possible. Will be any new projects in near future and when?

In fact, it's already been stated that they're looking to get three new projects (be that totally new projects or new phases of already existing projects) up and running by the end of this year... As to what they'll be, well the official line is that no announcements are ever made in advance, although talk already has been of the following; * AutoDocking Molecules to Fight Malaria (AMFM) * Influenza Antiviral Drug Search - Phase 2 * Help Conquer Cancer - Phase 2 and two new water based ones...
