I've noticed that the agent does not do any work, so I started wondering why.
In the "Results status" page found the following error repeating for each task: <core_client_version>6.10.58</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> The signal handler cannot be set. (0xd2) - exit code 210 (0xd2) </message> ]]> Here is the client log in case it helps somebody...
Any ideas how to fix this? |

Hi,
----------------------------------------Could be various such at AV software interfering easily remediated by setting an exception to ignore all in the BOINC data_dir. One thread discussing this error caused by a harddisk problem http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/...ead,26642_offset,0#250655 At any rate, your log does not indicate deficiencies in memory or disk settings, but would set in the Activity menu of BOINC manager to Run Always to test at uninterrupted 100% load. --//-- edit: Oh, yes, you've installed as user. Suggest to uninstall and reinstall, selecting Protected Application Execution and Allow All Users, so it will run even when no one is logged in. Also suggest upping the RAM permission to 75% when used and 90% when idle. 2 GB is normally fine for 4 concurrent tasks with your selection. 3GB is better when also running Clean Energy. I think you are right about HDD problem - the disk was connected to a faulty SATA port (H67 problem...) now the disk is OK.
How can I fix the state of the machine? |

After midnight UTC your machine will get a minimum quota if work is requested. If those complete without error, there will immediately be more work allowed to be fetched.
Let us know how it goes. --//-- |

OK after resetting the project, and waiting for the quota to be reset, I am happy to tell you that everything is back to normal.
Thanks! |
