Daily Global5000
----------------------------------------22 members of the UK team achieved a Global5000 rank in yesterday's crunching: RT(days) # Points # Results # Having done the hard work creating the data capture and (especially) formatting it, it's too large to fit into the Morning Update without making the whole report too unwieldy. It will therefore be included in the LunchCrunch report which appears irregularly depending on my time commitents. |

Daily Global5000
----------------------------------------Oh @*~+! There's a glitch with Mike D Green and douglasalt1 appearing twice under Results having achieved the same totals as Soong and GB096523. I'll have to revisit and correct. |

Hopefully it will be up and running soon, and then I will need to start worrying about maintaining pole position for runtime! ![]() I'm also re-considering an AMD-based machine again, after checking on a CPU-benchmark comparison site, which shows the following: [dual-cpu] Intel Xeon E5645 (hex-core 2.4GHz) = 10,516 points [dual-cpu] AMD Opteron 6344 (12-core 2.6Ghz) = 12,104 points For the same price as a quad-cpu E5645 system, I could get a quad-cpu Opteron 6348 (12-core 2.8GHz) system. This would also have the added advantage that I wouldn't need to potentially get two sets of RAID card and disk-pair as it would be a native quad-cpu system rather than a dual-node chassis, which makes it slightly cheaper. Decisions decisions! ![]() |

It there any chance you can run these stats on a regular basis? Nice to see Soong still making excellent performance in the absence of a GPU project. A great number of results from Maugan. Are you only concentrating on VINA work units at the moment? ![]()

Hope you still have enough left over for a GPU or two, as I dare say that one good GPU will beat any CPU setup should the GPU projects arrive.

Is there any chance you can run these stats on a regular basis? If there's interest, then yes of course. ![]() |

For no apparent reason I have had a better than usual day today:
----------------------------------------07/26/2013 0:061:03:04:59 269,075 533 07/25/2013 0:044:21:36:38 195,273 358 07/24/2013 0:039:18:07:40 200,074 448 07/23/2013 0:038:20:42:16 177,527 292 07/22/2013 0:035:17:10:27 164,411 185 07/21/2013 0:034:17:00:15 156,280 147 Not sure why as there has been no reason for the increased runtime from my idle only machines and I am still at 21 pages PV (increased from the usual 3-4 pages)
