@ Maugan
----------------------------------------I agree. ![]() Check back to my post approx 75 hours ago. Since then the GFAM details have been updated but only for Target #21! There's still Target #22 to come: *The last class of targets (i.e., #22) for phase 1 of the GO FAM project are a type of kinase that has been shown to be essential to the life-cycle of the malaria parasite: Pf Lammer/CLK1 So assuming #22 is the same size and assuming the same rate of send out, that would make 10 days #21 and 13 days #22 = 23 days. Though once word gets out and/or an official announcement is made send out rate will increase so probably best to assume 15 - 18 days of new work remaining ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by jonnieb-uk at May 16, 2013 9:59:24 PM] |

Anyone seen Wicksman ?

If you've missed the news HPF2 is ending "soon"!
----------------------------------------See this link and the further links therein. How soon is "soon" is not clear in anything I've read. SekeRob has updated his chart(s) based on an arbitrary end date 30th June. On a side note it's good to see that WCG has learned something from the ending of HCC, and the news was broadcast on BOINC Notices, Twitter and Facebook. Based on my own progess I'll cache enough GFAM by 25 May and enough HPF2 by 14 Jun to make Emerald so it's going to ba an interesting few weeks! ![]() [edit] Official estimate 24 days of new work remaining for HPF2 ---------------------------------------- [Edit 2 times, last edit by jonnieb-uk at May 17, 2013 4:19:57 PM] |

Afternoon Team.
----------------------------------------I'm happy I've passed the 200,000 Results for the team, I never dreamed I would get that many ![]() If GFAM is going to be ending soon, I want 3 years out of it before the end (currently 2 years 102 days.... Running GFAM & CEP2 along side one another), so there will be a short lived spike in my crunching while I switch everything on to it, just for a couple of days (until my CEP2 clears from my main systems queues). And now HPFP2 is ending as well??... DSFL is due to end in August, no news about the HFCC restart, GFAM & HPFP2 are ending, HCC, Both Waters, Dengue & HCMDP2 are all finished and CEPP2 won't last much longer), when are new projects going to be released, at this rate there will be nothing to crunch at all in a few months ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

and CEPP2 won't last much longer Have you read something I haven't? I thought there was at least a year's work and more in the pipeline? Haven't Harvard just spent a considerable sum on expanding their data storage to handle the results. |

Haven't Harvard just spent a considerable sum on expanding their data storage to handle the results. Last time I looked, the chart for CEPP2 was at 73%, everytime one project ends each other project speeds up fairly dramatically due to more people going over to crunch other projects and we have quite a few projects that will end in the near future. With (at this rate of projects finishing), Aids, SN2S & CEP being the last projects standing by (circa), sometime in August, the amount being crunched on those last 3 projects will go up exponentially, therefore greatly reducing the time they also take to finish (Unless WCG pull their fingers out of their ****'s and release replacements). ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by themoonscrescent at May 17, 2013 3:50:37 PM] |
