We don't seem to have anyone producing team stats so here's my effort:

Progress through the ranks based on AllTime data is slow. I think it is more intersting to compare current performance. The report shows Current Performance of "Active" UK Team Members over a 24 day period ending 20 Jan.

If its of interest to the team (and not duplicating someoneelse's work) I'll produce a report on a monthly basis.

My own progress has slowed somewhat, so you'll soon overtake me.

The UK team has climbed 1 place in the Global RT rankings to #90!

And there we will be rooted for some time! The next team up is Gillboskolorna currently 16:335:22:30:40 ahead and widening the gap by some 50 days RT per calendar day.

We need more members/crunching power!

Sadly Grid Computing seems to have a very low profile in the UK. I've tried writing to the BBC's Click programme and to various print publications trying to get some interest in a feature either on the concept of grid computing or a specific research project but with no success.

Particpation in WGC is, quite rightly, voluntary but these days even charities advertise and undertake PR activity to raise their profile/public awareness. Has this been considered by WGC does anyone know?

Recruitment would be easier if prospective participants could be pointed to a feature/article carried in mainstream media e.g. BBC, The Times etc. especially if it were couched in layman's terms.

The UK team has gained 1 place in the Global Results rankings rising to #90, above Poland.

The only viable target remaining in the Global rankings is Wisconsin at #91 in the Points table. At current rate of progress we should overhaul them in about 57 days.
