Re: UK

There's no badge for these, but it's a nice milestone anyway - 3 years on two projects in the same update! smile

Re: UK

Looks like WCG have started to double up on GPU work units, my older I7 is now taking twice the time to complete one work unit as before.

That's interesting. Mine are still the same as before, though I have 5 hours of cache, so maybe I haven't hit the longer ones yet?

Re: UK

A definite Threat to the UK team's Points and Results ranking has emerged in the form of Crunching@EVGA sad I suspect as a result of their whole hearted embrace of GPU processing. They have outcrunched the UK team in the last 7 days by an average per day of 1,285,821 Points and 5,889 Results.

Update on the above: the last half a dozen GPU WUs have taken about 40% longer, so it does look as if they've been extended somehow.

I'm still on the shorter GPU's on my 2nd I7 but I expect that to change any time now.

I think that the GPU element has been doubled but the CPU portion at the beginning and end remains the same which I think makes it more efficient? I could though be talking complete nonsense and I've yet to see any reference to the doubling up of GPU WUs anywhere else in the forum. worried
