Hello everyone,
this is my first post/question in the forum. I'm new to all this Grid computing but i can say that i really enjoy it. Ever Since i installed a second device under my username and after a bit of cancelling as far as WU are involved i keep getting a really large Communications Deffered Status, 4 hours! When i press update it will begin counting from 4 hours again... Any ideas? I am currently processing for Fightaids@home |

I get these messages when i press update
status: Scheduler request pending, requested by user, scheduler request in progress...and i get a great 4hour delay everytime i press the update button. Hi GunStinger.
----------------------------------------The message "World Community Grid Message from server: (reached daily quota of 4 results)" which is in the log you've provided, appears to be what's restricting you from receiving more WU's. The question is, why is that there???? Could you please go to your Results page and check for any errors - as the system is set up to reduce the number of WU's sent to each client upon an error, eventually getting to such a stage where it reaches this low level if the issue causing the error(s) isn't resolved.  |

Hi GunStinger! Welcome to WCG and the forums. The message indicates that the device has exceeded it's quota of invalid/cancelled work units. A new device gets a initial quota of WUs that increases when valid, completed ones are returned and decreases when errors or cancelled ones are returned. I suspect the "bit of cancelling" pushed you over the threshold. If you wait 24 hours that device should receive new WUs. I guess your system is failing too many FA@H results.
----------------------------------------Select to crunch for HCC; these are the shortest work units and should finish the fastest. Once a couple finish your quota should allow for more than 4 tasks. Generally it's better to run a mixture of tasks, so perhaps it's best to choose 2 or 3 projects. Online, My Grid, on the left hand side of the page, click My Projects and choose other projects (HCC) and deselect FA@H for now - you can reselect it later, after you work out why so many are failing.
