Re: The project is not ending yet

How does that sit with WCG Tech seippel [Mar 28, 2011 4:08:17 PM] post? Is the original projected 30days left of new work for HFCC -- still on track?

This project will still run out of work units as indicated in the post you linked to, but it won't be a permanent. The new targets will be available around June but in the time in between no HFCC work units will be available.

Re: The project is not ending yet

Good to hear the research results look promising. I hope you get well published, and I look forward to doing more HFCC work come June - Not too far away for anyone that ends up with 13days work ;p

Re: The project is not ending yet

One more thing we wanted to mention....

We had a routine teleconference status meeting with the Chiba researchers yesterday.

We were delighted to hear from them that they and their families have no major issues from the earthquake or earthquake related problems.

Also their laboratory at Chiba is unharmed and will have no effect on research for this project.

The Chiba team posted this update yesterday: http://www.m.chiba-u.ac.jp/class/bioinfor/wcg/e/hfcc_e/news.html

(*And* it means I may get my first 10Y after all, which was never going to happen before this batch runs out).

Neither I could make it to 10 years, but with the next batches I will make it.
In the mean while we can upgrade the other active projects runtime.

Great ! I hope that I´ll get my sapphire badge. I´m now close to emerald, but with 6-core CPU it will be quite easy to reach higher.
