Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 50 smilesmile

As far as tornadoes go, today was a remarkable day in California. 7 tornadoes in the northeast part of the state around Oroville / Chico. It would normally take about 10 years to have that many in the entire state (so they claim). None of them were all that big, fortunately.

With the temperature swings we've seen over the last few weeks, my systems are no longer running at 100%. My points will be down until October, more or less.

Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 50 smilesmile

As I recall, it seems like the strip of DFW between I-20 and I-30 got the softball size hail once each year during the late spring and summer, at least when I lived there. It never was above I-30 or below I-20. Now once you got to the lakes on north of DFW, you'd get bad stuff from there up to Denton. Never did understand that as the geography isn't any different.
I don't think that pattern exists any more. It seems to me that the weather patterns are shifting as time goes by. Looks like "Tornado Alley" is moving North East. But that is just my un-schooled observation.

The weather just seems weird all over.

Dr Mike. We were all getting a touch concerned. I hope your "small problems." work out....Yes I agree "such is life". Stay in touch smile

Gerald. I find it surprising you got a Laptop; suppose that it will keep you connected while away from home. I have a little 12" netbook that I use for that purpose, when I am someplace where I can get to the net. "TeamViewer" is great for that for it lets me get to my main machine. Though tedious due to the lack of screen space and some communications delays, I can actually do a little work if necessary.

----------------------------Well i work away about 6 months of the year and i thought it was better than lugging a desktop and monitor around--i wanted something a little more powerful than a netbook as i experiment with various Linux flavors--downloading and burning--this is my hobby smile

Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 50 smilesmile

Part of my "small" problems right now is work. I absolutely LOVE my job, but I and the other pediatricians feel like we're the red headed stepchildren of the Urgent Care. I freaking hate office politics.

Dr. Mike..

Congratulations Darth. smile
That makes perfect sense Gerald. I just did not expect it. I am at a loss if I don't have a netbook or laptop when I am on the road, and I am away from home a lot less than you are. smile Enjoy your visit!
Dr. Mike, I hate to hear that and could not agree about office politics more. I dealt with it for years but now the only person in my office besides me is my wife; and we get on pretty well. Hang in there; loving your job has to help a lot. smile
