Experiment 35 coming to an end - what's next?

Within the next couple of days we will reach the end of regular WUs for Experiment 35 (got a 20046, and 20092 marks the end of Experiment 35, see http://fightaidsathome.scripps.edu/status ).

So I guess Experiment 36 is in the pipe already? :-)

Regards,
Martin

Re: Experiment 35 coming to an end - what's next?

Hi Martin,

Yes, you are correct. Experiment 36 is in the pipe already (most of it, anyway). I've already prepared and tested WUs up to faah21672. All but the last few hundred have already been submitted to the World Community Grid team at IBM. After I create a few hundred more packages of WUs, I'll start designing and creating Experiment 37.

Thank you for the reminder, though. I need to add a description for Experiment 36 to the Status page. I'll do that soon.

Cheers,
Alex L. Perryman, Ph.D.

Thanks, Dr. Perryman. Your communication style really enforces my trust in the importance and perseverence of the FAAH research.

Martin

Dear Martin,

You are most welcome. And thank you for your kind words.

I just finished adding a description for Experiment 36 to the Status page:
http://fightaidsathome.scripps.edu/status

Best wishes,
Dr. Alex Perryman

Dear Dr.Perryman

Are you willing to design WUs for GPUs?

Regards,
Bill

They've already expressed opinions on this matter. Please just search the forum, thanks.

Happens to be that the status page was updated yesterday, May 11. Experiment 36 is now at 19%.

Crunching On

PS, there are no GPU plans for FAAH to my knowledge, but we'll be getting in, say 2011, the faster and more refined VINA version.

No, GPU is OFF TOPIC for this thread. There's multiple other threads discussing upgrades, speedups and GPU crunching.

thanks.

edit: correct link as per Falconet, below.
