At least I found this thread, which may be all that is necessary without having to endorse someone's Linux. I did think about asking if the Boinc crew could just as well create The Boinc Linux.
----------------------------------------So anyway, now with a thread about Dosch Linux, will it work and not lose all the work when the PC shuts down and restarts? I recently tried Ubuntu 10.10 with Boinc.58 on a flash drive, but apparently it lost all the work in progress, including the Boinc manager. This does not happen on a Dosch Linux usb drive? ![]() |

I would say no on the newsletter idea. I don't want it to become yet another Linux newsletter stating the "flavor of the day". Dotsch can be downloaded off of this website: http://www.dotsch.de/boinc/Dotsch_UX.html or from: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php at the bottom of the page. However, in the past when I tried to download from Berkeley it would fail or be corrupted, so I would go with the first link. It has been on Berkeley's page for quite some time but is easily over looked.

Has anyone looked into why the Berkeley's serving of Dotsch was failed or corrupted?

I have not. I only dabble with Linux, so found it easier to just download it from somewhere else then to report it. Perhaps someone who is bored can research it.
