I'd just hit silver when the new project started.

Re: 'Globe update recognition thread'

Moved into #4, climbing to #3 and especially #2 will be challenging.

Re: 'Globe update recognition thread'

With the speed you're going at, I think anything is possible.
As a matter of coincidence, you are going to have a new target right up your alley as of tomorrow. biggrin

Keep those TerraFlops coming. wink

Re: 'Globe update recognition thread'

SNURK is the years/project the total number of yearss divided by all the projects (active, intermittent, completed) that one has crunched since he started with WCG.

On that basis I should be at
9.6 years/project average.

But if I had crunched only two long lasting projects then I could be at
62 years/project average.

I surely miss something.

I am hoping to just get to #5. Don't think it will be possibly to catch up to you.

Re: 'Globe update recognition thread'

Hypernova, the calculation is done by dividing your total run time by the total number of WCG projects. I think its up to 18 total projects so you would be at about 6.9 years = 125 years total / 18.

Anhhai, on a long enough time frame you should get to about 3rd. 4th should be much easier. Your averaging something like 170d every day, i'm at about 215d, mclaver is about 150, and kermit just has a massive lead even if he returns no results for a huge amount of time. Rammie has been at this a long stead time but your gaining about 40d per day on him, you will catch up to mclaver first and pass him at the current rate. And theres always the unknowns out there... or Hypernova, waiting to powerback up 100% biggrin

Re: 'Globe update recognition thread'

Never thought there would be so many crunchers with globes above sapphire. There's 18 now! and more waiting make the jump from Sapphire.
MrKermit still way up ahead, but RAMMIE already knocking at the door of X-Sapphire. He's been there before, but was sadly kicked back to III-Sapphire when the new project was launched.
Cool to see the huge power that some of you bring to the Grid. biggrin

Hypernova, the explanation of trn-XS is correct. Average is calculated by total runtime divided by 18. That's the same for everyone no matter how many projects one has crunched.
(Totaly off topic: Hypernova, I've been to your country a few weeks back on vacation. Berner Oberland region. What an awesome scenery, just totaly stunning shock)

But I have counted 19 projects if we take the total WCG number of projects.
All those who just went up one globe, please give back the globe you just received. What a horrible feeling crying
These are the hard facts of a crunchers life. laughing

(Totally off topic: Many thanks, I agree it is a beautiful region. I have also been years ago in your country in Amsterdam. I had the chance to have very nice weather, sunny blue sky. Traveled in the canals, ate excellent indonesian food, and I have very nice memories of a beautiful city, full of bycicles. smile )
