For whatever reason the app failed, it occurred locally.
While this might not be applicable to your failures, it's worth noting that the variables of some projects inherently mean that some tasks fail, due to surpassing specifically defined constraints, designed and set in place to terminate a run when such boundaries are exceeded. So it is better to accept that some error messages do not always mean that there is an issue with the app, just that a task moved outside of accepted constraints. Errors and constraints are part of science, so don't let a few such messages deter you. |

Hey, astrolab, man, I can't really thank you enough for you being so gracious with me, but you know what? I don't need you or anyone to cut me some slack. What I do need, is for you to get off your high horse and level with me.
----------------------------------------If you take a moment to look through this thread, you will notice that I have admitted there are multiple explanations for what happened, but no actual answer. What I did was to complain that there isn't someone technical (not by nature, but by profession, from the WCG side) to hear us out and help us understand some freak errors like this one (like I saw, for example in the Clean Energy Project forum). You are just so one-sided that you can't get passed the fact that I don't have as much runtime or years of experience like you have, that you keep telling me about the DOA WU and about resources and prioritization. What do you take me for? An idiot? Also, I'm pretty sure that this forum is not your backyard, so when I (or anyone else decides to "whine" - by the way, please see the context from which you took it) about something, I don't think it's your time that I'm wasting. And to apply a logic that seems to sit so well with you, if you don't like what you're reading, feel free to navigate away from this thread (or notify some admins, if that's what you like). And for future reference make a note to self and read more about rhetorical questions and what threatening means (where did that come from?). Anyway, this is not about you and I refuse to make it about you. This was about a problem to which I continue to say I have received no answer to. But I will close the thread, hopefully for the last time... Bye! Doei! Tchüs! Ciao! Pa! Edit: Thank you, skgiven for the explanation and don't worry, not even astrolab can drive me away from processing for the projects which I have chosen! Since then, I have already delivered 5 more HPF2 valid WU and I'm crunching 3 more with no errors whatsoever. Cheers! PS: astrolab, I have just re-read all the posts in this thread. All went well before you butted in. Are you here just to aggravate me and things? If so, please refrain from commenting on this thread. We were all having a very civilized talk before you popped your head in here. Not only that, but I had changed the topic name to "resolved" too! Nobody asked for your opinion and you better be damned sure I don't want to ever hear what you have to say ever again! You might be an expert, but not in my book, you're not! ![]() Knowledge is limited.
