Have they all gone already????
----------------------------------------Edit : Also, are these Beta WU's being limited - i.e., to 1 WU/machine, or to just 1 WU/core? [Edit 1 times, last edit by gb009761 at Jan 10, 2011 8:35:57 PM] |

uplinger,
----------------------------------------Just got 1 and curious, though I could have misunderstood, this 6.35 version "still" has the initial 2x 69677 KB file to download. Was that not becoming redundant with the 6.37 Linux version or is that happening on a near future version? -- SekeRob edit: Not had _4 upload issues for ages, just the initial new version CEP2 200mb download problem which is same as upload worked around by temporarily lowering the DL bandwidth to 48KB, and only on Linux over WIFI. Over 100MB Ethernet no such problem. edit2: Since it's v 6.35 beta, at least on Windows, was this only tested on this platform? [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Jan 11, 2011 2:03:47 PM] |

When my machines ask to servers to get work, appear the old message that CEP2 requires 128.00 kpbs download bandwidth and my computer has been measured... bla bla bla.
----------------------------------------Once I have a bandwidth conection for download/upload of 10 Mbps I think that something appear be wrong with this measures and criteria to BOINC client decides in this way, and once I bypassed the requirements to accept CEP2 be crunched in my device profiles configs, it would happens in the same way with Beta tests of CEP2. Maybe uplinger could take a look on this problem. Thank you in advance.

It looks like right now that it is 1 task/workstation. Of course I get the usual message that there is work available elsewhere, and I won't get any

Got one. Initially said 5-1/2 hours to completion, but it looks like it's going to more like 12. AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 B95 Processor

It belongs in the realm of possibles at the server side, that WCG/Harvard is able to log how many uploads stall/resume and the amount of data transmitted on average, versus the "real" average file sizes of _4 to know if there is a wider impact. If WCG can shave a few percent, that's on hundreds of TB of data a significant amount of data transmission reduction. As posted today in the scientists log, the mean contribution has not moved even with the latest device profile features added some month ago, so gather this to be part of the enrollment drive initiative that cleanenergy was discussing today.

These do not seem limited to 1 per core/thread like regular Betas.
----------------------------------------The number downloaded seems to be affected by the CEP2 d/l number set in profile. I increased the number of max CEP2 WU's in my selected profile and received more Beta's, one caveat seems to be that the 'Unlimited' setting does Not work. |

I found that out also but was hoping it would stay a secret. EDIT: I received two DDDT2 retreds too. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Dataman at Jan 10, 2011 10:05:09 PM] |
