I've been meaning to note that Mechanical is crunching again. If my memory serves me right, they are somewhere in Australia. Hopefully, it's not in the part or Queensland that has been so devastated lately.
----------------------------------------Lanscader rejoined our active ranks yesterday and today, Million Point Man is back! I love the trend. ![]() Lee, are you doing something different? It seems like your numbers are up. Fanie continues to put up some regularly nice numbers! I'd love to get a South African take on things. finman, thanks for getting back with that info. It's never too late. You never know who all is reading things here. pramodp continues to work towards that next slot as a MOT Millionaire. It's just a matter of time. ![]() It's been a good while since we've heard from Dr. Mike. Hope all is well though I'm a bit concerned. To those of you reading, don't be shy about posting here. We really do want to hear from you! |

Keithhenry and geraldrube,
----------------------------------------Good points as my views on western medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, herbal medicine with psychology and spirituality are my own but a mish mash of all those who's shoulders as they say I stand on. I love the so called placebo effect as placebo in, what is it Latin means "does no harm"! Probably wrong on definition but not willing to look up and not critical to discussion! To digress it is like the scientist who is working on accurate but not exact computers. Acurate computers are 10,000's of times faster then exact and for most things are accurate enough. Back to placebo as keithhenry states to some degree it is surely faith and part is the healing powers of the physician who I think occasionally is more then a technician ie doctor but one who actually effects the ill individuals physically, psychologically and spiritually! Not many of these but give them just their bare hands and they would be able to "heal" most. Unfortunately in my opinion so many people are so ill of mind, body and spirit for so long it is almost or is impossible to heal. Catch the hole in the dike at pin size, great- Dutch boy or wait till the dike is mostly washed away- superman. Superman is often busy!!! Procrastination often leads to many if not most chronic illness's but on otherhand living life of budist monk is not for most of us so happy median. For instance in my opinion exercise is over rated. If you really love it great if not be industrious and should do fine. Look for example Joe hates exercise but starts doing them for six hours a week for fifty weeks a year from age twenty-five to seventy then dies but dies at seventy. Thus exercising for about 540 days, ie doing something he really did not like to PERHAPS live a longer and better life. Cynical, yes perhaps by being active in a area of leasure he really enjoyed he would have received the same positive effects of exercising but none of negative doing something he did not like doing! Just a thought, though rambling one! [Edit 1 times, last edit by judson Somerville MD at Feb 11, 2011 3:37:44 AM] |

Does this mean that prescriptions you write are now becoming legible too?

Barring some unusual event, it looks like I'll get passed by DA in the next day or two. Don't forget to salute as you go by.

I see that it's GeraldRube when it's linked back to WCG, but somehow your account on BOINCstats is LindasDuby. Strange how their tracking system works. In any case, I see you started running GPUGrid. I had to stop for a while since one of my power supplies died in my computer and that GPU requires a LOT of electricity. Do you mean GPU Grid???--there it is LindasDuby--by the way my middle name is Rube and when my Mother was upset with me she would call me Gerald Rube!! And I am guessing the reason you are in Kingsland is that there is a Linda there. ![]() You are absolutely correct ![]() ![]() |

Hey brown Chris or Chris Brown. That is so neat about the solar. I suppose you got both Federal and California solar incentives? Where in California? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I live in the high desert of southern California. I live very close to Edwards AFB. I have 32 BP 175 watt panels on my roof and the best part is that I am not buying them - they are leased. Since they are a lease, I do not get any of the tax incentives or the rebates. But.... It will cost me $93 a month for a year increasing a bit every year for 10 years. At the end of 10 years, I will be paying $114 a month. Total cost is about $14,000. That's pretty good since the panels and the inverter cost almost $55,000! Since I'm saving about $200 a month, that adds up to $24,000. At the end of 10 years, I will have saved $10,000. What's even better is that Edison is supposed to start paying for any extra electricity at the end of the year. When that happens, I will get it (not the company I am leasing the panels from). Another plus is that it costs nothing to get started in this. I've had these installed since Dec 27 and my first payment is Feb 15. Not only have I not paid a dime for these panels, yet, I got in when they were giving away $300 iPods and $100 solar chargers. If anyone is interested, the name of the company is SunGevity. If you are really interested, let me know as they are giving the person signing up $500 if you give them my account number. And yes, I get $500 too! ![]() Forgive me if it seems like I am advertising. I've been wanting to get into solar for a long time and this company lets you get into it for free and then some! The only catch is, it's a 10 year lease and you must own your home. If you are going to be moving, they will help you transfer the lease but if that doesn't happen you still have to pay for them. Also, California is thinking of doing away with the incentives. If the rebates go away, it probably won't be free to sign up anymore. If you are interested check it out before Jerry Brown shuts the program down. I use a lot of electricity, so mine is a very large system. The people that installed it said that 16 or 24 panels is pretty much normal. Mine is 32 panels at $93 a month. Figure half that for 16 panels. Honestly, I watched my electric bill drop from $350 a month to $63 and I haven't cut back at all. Two days ago when I got home from work, my meter read 61030. Tonight when I got home I read it again and it read 61039 after two days! I know I'm ranting, but this is awesome! As the days get longer, my bill gets cheaper! ![]()

I am very interested in Solar as have a lot of roof space but in Texas I do not think we have much in local or state incentives, which is a shame!!! Nanoprobe is gaining on means about three days from catching me. Have most of my next machine already purchased but been putting off last part as want home tranquility but it is time to pull trigger and purchase memory, cpu's and video card! Hi Judson - read my previous post. I'm not sure if sungevity is in Texas, but check out sungevity.com and see if they are. There is no sign up fee in California so it may be the same there.
