Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 48smilesmile

Hey Gerald!

Are you "LindasDuby" on BOINCstats? I've been watching your scores and they have really jumped the past few days!

http://boincstats.com/stats/user_graph.php?pr=wcg&id=25015-- No it should be GeraldRube----i am getting so senile that i may have changed it twice--I have changed two systems to x64 Ubuntu which i think is much faster than Windows--and free!!--just a little learning curve-- smile

I see that it's GeraldRube when it's linked back to WCG, but somehow your account on BOINCstats is LindasDuby.
Strange how their tracking system works.
In any case, I see you started running GPUGrid. I had to stop for a while since one of my power supplies died in my computer and that GPU requires a LOT of electricity.
I have replaced it, so I too have started running GPUGrid again. I just watched my card temp jump from 53C to 72C in less than a minute.

On another note, my solar panels took my electric bill from $350 a month to $63 a month. The panels cost $93 a month totaling $156 a month saving me almost $200 a month.

The bottom line, crunching just got affordable again! biggrin

Edit: Wow, that was a lot of "a month's" in one sentence!

Hey brown Chris or Chris Brown. That is so neat about the solar.

I suppose you got both Federal and California solar incentives? Where in California?

I am very interested in Solar as have a lot of roof space but in Texas I do not think we have much in local or state incentives, which is a shame!!! Nanoprobe is gaining on means about three days from catching me. Have most of my next machine already purchased but been putting off last part as want home tranquility but it is time to pull trigger and purchase memory, cpu's and video card!

Geraldrube,
Lots of interesting solutions that do not have commercial applicability so not really advertised. Yes surgery supress the immune system not what you want to do in my humble opinion.
Coingames and nicmedtxmd did you'll add a computer or switch to Linux as points/day keep going up! And you thought no one noticed!!! Which probably means I have egg on my face as they did not really go up but down!!!

Judson, I know the medical field loves the double blind studies where even the doctors don't know which patients get the new medicine or the placebo. There's also the placebo effect where some folks get better even though they got a placebo though they don't know that. I read recently where a study actually gave folks a placebo and told them that it was nothing more than a placebo and they still saw the same effect. Hasn't there been a profession around for quite a while that knew that already? They call it faith. biggrin I have to wonder how much of a factor that is with these "alternative" therapies that work for some and not others. To some degree, the same can probably be said for "mainstream" therapies too but that's probably not considered since the expectation is that those will work to begin with.

The main problem with medical treatments IMHO for cancer is the poison they put in your body and they only target a minuscule amount of genes

Do you mean GPU Grid???--there it is LindasDuby--by the way my middle name is Rube and when my Mother was upset with me she would call me Gerald Rube!!

And I am guessing the reason you are in Kingsland is that there is a Linda there. smile
