Project has no need for the tasks - Server Abort

Several tasks were server aborted on a couple of systems. The server reported that the project no longer had any use for the tasks (in BM). The tasks had ran for many hours. They do not even appear in the Results Status page sad
The systems had been off for a few days, but not ten days. Even then we can normally still let tasks finish, upload them and some credit.
Has there been a change in WCG policy or is this just due to a bad batch or project change?

Re: Project has no need for the tasks - Server Abort

Hi Asia., I don't believe that there's been any change in policy - the only thing I can think of, is a combination of cache setting (the higher the setting, the less time is left for it to be computed), the length of time your computer was off, and also the length of time it was taking to crunch these (sometimes very long) WU's, that it caused them to go past their 10 day deadline.

Can you tell us a bit more about your system(s)?, i.e., what do you normally have your cache setting at, the length of time your computer is usually available for crunching (on a daily/weekly basis), and as to whether it's running at full power all of the time/a reduced power setting/only crunching when it's not being used etc.,
