All my tasks are suspended and I don't know why. I didn't suspend them myself. I have tried to suspend them myself, hoping I can then resume them, but it doesn't work. It all worked fine until a couple of days ago and for some reason it's stopped working. Can anybody help me.
I have a pretty good laptop running Windows 7. I have AVG anti-virus. |

if you are running boinc 6.xxxx, there is a setting that says if you are using 25% of the CPU for other stuff (non-boinc) then it will suspend all boinc jobs.
----------------------------------------You can change this setting under your profiles, or do it locally. ![]() |

hi wrelton,
----------------------------------------would you please visit the message window in the BOINC Manager client and scroll through until you see a suspend line. Plz copy the messages from the top of the log [where the client version is printed] to after such a suspend event and paste them in a reply. We'll surely be able to give a more exact suggestion why this is. ciao

Hi again,
----------------------------------------Yes, anhhai was right on the money. Something non-BOINC is using at times more than 25% of the available CPU time, so the new 6.10.58 client will then by default pause. You can change the "while processor usage is less then 25%" in the local preferences or on the website device profile to either zero, to disable the function, or to a higher percentage... for instance 50% or 75%. Experiment to match this with your needs. If you want to compute full out, go to the BOINC Manager Activity menu and select "Run always" (which is how I run on my 64 bit Windows 7 and never/rarely noticing except when doing streaming video) cheers
