Re: Science Update on Project Status Please

Hello gb009761,
Several weeks ago I heard that they had finished up some major work on analyzing the returned data and intended to take it easy over December just making sure their server code was working more efficiently and handling other work. They intended to get back to this project in January and consider cloning it to run their flu project if there were no obvious problems by then.

Of course, situations change unexpectedly so I do not know if that is what is really happening.

Enjoy the holiday season. biggrin
Lawrence

AnRM it is a little short. By the way you have a specific thread for that. Maybe the project is not of particular interest to you but I have some interest in it mainly related to dengue fever.

I think you misunderstood my posting....I was agreeing with you that it would be nice to have an update. I wasn't knocking the project or your posting. Cheers....smile

Re: Science Update on Project Status Please

It is now 2011. Are there any updates regarding how much of this project is complete and how much remains to be done? I am asking only for a rough estimate of when the work will be complete or when new workunits will be available.

Re: Science Update on Project Status Please

What I personally would like, is firstly an update on progress as to the 'Quality Control' targets (ts01..ts06), and then a rough estimate as to how far we're away from crunching the main targets - of which, if I remember correctly, there were 18 (the first being, erlc).

I know/realise that the scientists are incredibly busy (especially with them having all this manual checking to be done between phases, as well as them having another two projects (IADS & IADS2) on their plates), so I'm not looking for a very long/detailed update - just a few words which they can use to keep us all in the loop wink

I wonder if they ever think,
"Gee a supercomputer doesn't hastle us this much"

I'm JUST HAVING FUN,
I too would like an update, I seem to remember Dengue I
having lots of input which was one reason I hunted those
elusive units.
