Hello!
----------------------------------------I noticed a difference between the WebRPC (e.g. for my team) and the corresponding Team Statics: WebRPC at 2010/11/11 20:56 CET: 110,695,195.82929 BOINC Credits (multiply by 7) 774,866,370.80503 WCG Points Our Team Statics (updated at 2010/11/10 23:59 UTC) say that we had 775,435,234 WCG Points. That's 568.864 WCG Points more in the Team Statics, though the WebRPC data is 20 hours older.. How can this difference be explained? Are these points crunched by the out-of-date UD clients? If so: Is there a xml-file with the old UD Points for each team? Or can I rely on the correctness of the LastUpdated-field in this xml-file, so that I get the data of the corresponding WebRPC at the same time and get the correct difference? Thanks crille |

Hi crille1006,
We started out running UD grid software, then switched over to BOINC. The points are computed differently. but running some tests, we decided that one BOINC point was roughly equivalent to 7 UD points so to keep everything compatible 1 BOINC point = 7 WCG points. Eventually we will convert WCG / 7 to BOINC points but . . . BOINC is changing 1 old BOINC point = 2 new BOINC points. sigh. . . It's a moving target.  Lawrence |

Is the difference between WebRPC (multiply by 7) at 23:59:59 and Team Statics at 23:59:59 on each day equal? The answer is yes, assuming that WebRPC scrapes the points from WCG after the noon statistics update. Lawrence |
