Hello Blurf, The last news was from Usha Viswanathan on 22 Aug 2011, shortly after she took over from rdmalmst. You can get all the news if you use search on watowich or rdmalmst or Usha Viswanathan. I expect that we will just have to wait. At least the title 'Influenza Antiviral Drug Search and Discovering Dengue Drugs - Together Scientist' that Usha Viswanathan uses is encouraging.  Lawrence Thanks Lawrence. For selfish reasons, I hope they resume phase 1 as I just got started on this project when it was paused. I am chomping at the bit to resume it. If not, I will jump on Flu2 ... too.   Same here.... still missing some WUs to crunch on phase 1. still hoping for some update or news of phase 2 coming.... right now im sinking my teeth into GFAM and DSFL so im happy at this time but waiting for the next project announcement

So did any papers ever come out of this project? Are there any promising new drugs in the pipeline? Of all the projects on WCG, this one hits closest to home. Last year (2014), probably due to the vaccine mismatch, my daughter, my wife, and I were all sick, even though we received influenza vaccinations. And my wife and I received the high-potency vaccinations for old people. I don't know for sure if I had the flu or not, but I kept slowly going down hill, and finally ended up in the hospital for a few nights with pneumonia. And I also had received the pneumonia vaccination. (In Oct 2015 I found out they were recommending a second pneumonia vaccination against different strains than the first shot, so I got that one too).

well, I don't take any shots...& I don't take any antibiotics!
----------------------------------------why? the reason is that when I do need them...my system will be stronger to cope with them! 'cause taking prevention shots & antibiotics is like targeting a fly on a 5th floor of the building on a island 30 miles away from a 300mm cannon (antibiotics)! you do destroy the fly, but so do you destroy everything else!  ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by KLiK at Jan 6, 2016 8:56:18 PM] |
