have no tasks running, update times out after a few seconds, seems like it is not connecting to server 6.2.28, last project sent 10/28/10 15:15:30, the last 3 results show as pending validation

Can you paste the message log and we'll see what's the problem?

OK. Maybe my issue is different, but this is what has happened here starting at about the same time:
First, for 4 FAAH tasks I got: 29/10/2010 21:48:23|World Community Grid|Task faah16653_ZINC05890989_GQ2md06000CTP_04_0 exited with zero status but no 'finished' file 29/10/2010 21:48:23|World Community Grid|If this happens repeatedly you may need to reset the project. After that, 8 FAAH tasks uploaded successfully, but no downloads. It has been trying unsuccessfully to download the same WU since then, the WU appears on the task list, but the download sits at 0%. Below is the record of the first download attempt (at 30/10/2010 01:04:4). The last attempt was at 30/10/2010 10:55:14. After that it started "requesting 0 seconds of work" and of course getting 0 new tasks, no matter what project I select or what cache I set. Now I have aborted the stuck at 0% download file and tried updating, but it is still "requesting 0 seconds of work". 30/10/2010 01:04:48|World Community Grid|Started download of faah16258_ZINC01616313_WT2md01450CTP_00_base2.00009.pdbqt.gzb 30/10/2010 01:04:50||Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site 30/10/2010 01:04:50|World Community Grid|Temporarily failed download of faah16258_ZINC01616313_WT2md01450CTP_00_base2.00009.pdbqt.gzb: HTTP error 30/10/2010 01:04:50|World Community Grid|Backing off 45 min 11 sec on download of faah16258_ZINC01616313_WT2md01450CTP_00_base2.00009.pdbqt.gzb 30/10/2010 01:04:52||Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down. Hello Farpung,
Step 1: reboot Step 2: switch to Advanced View Step 3: select Transfers tab and abort any stuck transfers Step 4: select Messages tab and copy all the new messages if it is still not downloading. Step 5: post all your messages in this thread. The next step might be to Update or even Reset WCG in the Projects tab, but that is heroic treatment. Let us first look at your Messages here on the forum. Lawrence |

I have this problem too but have been unable to resolve it. It started about a week ago.
----------------------------------------The messages I receive are: Sun Oct 31 12:19:51 2010 World Community Grid Started download of hfcc.CHIBA_logo.tga.gzb I've tried the following: Cancel all uploads/downloads Restarting Boinc / rebooting Reset project (losing several days of finished results )Detach/reattach project None of this has helped though, I am now completely unable to crunch this project. I have the problem on both my machines, running Boinc 6.10.58 under Linux, using different ISPs and routers (they are in different locations). Any help would be much appreciated! ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Kenneth Larsen at Oct 31, 2010 12:45:09 PM] |
