I hope that this message is understandable, I'm French... 26/10/2010 19:01:19|World Community Grid|Message from server: No work sent 26/10/2010 19:01:19|World Community Grid|Message from server: The Clean Energy Project - Phase 2 requires 128.00 kbps download bandwidth. means: your internet connection is too slow. you can bypass this limitation in your device manager (see sticky cep2 thread for details) No work available for the applications you have selected. Please check your settings on the website means: neither of your selected projects has work available (cep2 due to your bandwidth) (won't finish in time) Computer on 42.7% of time, BOINC on 45.6% of that means: probably because your additional work buffer size is set too large; have a look at your boinc client>advanced>preferences>network usage |

the problem is that you can't get any CEP2 WUs due to 2 problems. The first is that your download speed is too slow. The second is that WCG doesn't believe that you can accept a CEP2 WU at this time since it will probably will not be finished in time

Hi!
Humour is a french thing! Ok, it seems to be american or english too... So seriously, thanks for your help but I don't understand the problem. My computer was often on, and I have still one day to send the result. So, I don't understand where the problem is. Herna, you tell me to check my "additional work buffer size", but I don't know the changes I have to do... |

Thanks Anhai! I still have a work unit in progress.
Again a question: is my last WU well finished? will it be useful or not? |

Yoann,
----------------------------------------The key to develop the right answer is your operating system. Windows/Linux/Mac? Don't think it's your buffer, else you knew ;) It's really that if a client has an X speed and BOINC keeping track of hours per day that forms the base of the calculation if work can be completed in time. Right now your client thinks it's on only 45% of the time and of that time only 46% BOINC is computing so kind of rounded 6 hours per day. If the task requested is thought to needs 65 hours, then it would not complete before deadline, so you wont get the task assignment, which still applies even if the internet speed that BOINC measures is more than 128KB. I'm not English or American ;-) edit: And yes, just let your computer run a bit longer or set the Activity to Run Always and the job will be in time and even if a little late is still accepted.
