i never have this problem before, and I only run HCC previously. It seems that a few days/weeks ago HCC job might be unavailable, so WCG/BOINC start taking other job as I tick that one on. Since I already crunch 130 something days on HCC, I realize that others need help to, so I start to tick all except that particular big one. Now I keep getting hang on screen saver. When the screen saver run it was okay, it just when I want to move back to desktop is when it hang. Maybe AIDS, maybe protein folding.
----------------------------------------It not really important since now I set my screensaver to blank instead of BOINC. Just to let you know. Oh, Win7, 64 bit, 4 gig ram, 250 gig hd. Bye. |

There's a funny with BOINC graphics and Windows Vista/7 which has something to do with who owns the process. I must say, that I can't remember having experienced this myself, but it is a known issue with a service install [when BOINC runs even when no one is signed in].
----------------------------------------1. Make sure latest display drivers are installed. 2. That OpenGL is installed. 3. The DirectX is up to snuff. Just tested this with BOINC 6.10.58 and Clean Water running and 1 minute delay on the Screensaver with W7-32 bit and all works fine. Often the Esc key rather than using the mouse allows to get the sign in window to appear. One thing to test. Switch off the screensaver password security. If that works then the old BOINC SS bug is not fixed. Do though upgrade to 6.10.58.

Mine is still 6.10.56 - doesn't want to do anything since it still runs fine. yeah, now that you mention it, i realize / remember that it was ok if i press esc, it's moving the mouse that giving the problem.
